How LED shines?

Now advocating LED lighting, I really want to know how it shines? Why can you save electricity?


1. (Basic introduction)
Light emitting diodes are simply referred to as LEDs. It is made of compounds containing Ga, As, P, N, etc. When electrons and holes recombine, they emit visible light and can be used to make light emitting diodes. 2. (Lighting color)
LED (Lighting Emitting Diode) lighting is LED lighting, and it is a semiconductor solid light emitting device. It uses solid-state semiconductor chips as light-emitting materials. LED lighting products are lighting fixtures that use LEDs as light sources.

3. (Lighting principle)
The LED is made of III-IV compound such as GaAs (gallium arsenide), GaP (gallium phosphide), GaAsP (phosphorus gallium arsenide) and other semiconductors, and its core is a PN junction. Therefore, it has the I-N characteristics of the general P-N junction, ie, forward conduction, reverse blocking, and breakdown characteristics. In addition, under certain conditions, it also has luminescent properties. At the forward voltage, electrons are injected into the P region from the N region, and holes are injected into the N region from the P region. A part of the minority carriers (low births) entering the opponent's area is combined with majority carriers (multiple sons) to emit light.
